Kendrick Lamar's verse on the Big Sean's song
"Control" song sparked conversation among music
lovers for days.
The reason for that isn't far-fetched. On the record, the
Compton born MC called out a number of rappers who
he felt were his competition, also going as far as to
crown himself the 'King of New York'.
Unsurprisingly, the record garnered a lot of responses
from rappers whose name he didn't mention (and who
took the oversight as an insult) and others who he felt
he had no claim to the title.
Well Kendrick has finally come to address the situation
that his verse generated. In an phone-in chat on radio
station Hot 97, the rapper amongst other things,
revealed his favorite of all the responses that his verse
has gotten.
His words, "I like the Los verse. Joe Budden did his
thing… Joell. I like people with different
approaches. They was stating they facts. Joey had
the facts in his verse, a few things that he felt.
Papoose had the comical joint. Los was flipping
his words and putting that spark on it. I think he
had the killer thing though, Los. Los killed it out of
everybody. But the number one joint at the top
of the list had to be Chocolate Drop, Kevin Hart.
That dude's funny. He made light of the situation."
